Have you ever changed the default Windows Server 2008 desktop color and wanted to change it back? The blueish-green color is not shown in the default palette, so you have to enter the RGB values manually.
Red = 29
Green = 95
Blue = 122
Here are the RGB values for the default Windows Server 2008 R2 desktop:
Red = 58
Green = 110
Blue = 165
While I'm at it, here is the formula for the cool smokey blue background for Windows PowerShell 2:
Red = 1
Green = 36
Blue = 86

ReplyDeletedo you know the background color for 2008 R2. it's more of a light blue but i can't seem to duplicate it.

ReplyDeleteRed 58
Green 110
Blue 165
thanks for the quick response. are you sure that is correct? it looks like there is a bit more green than my R2 servers. i'm not sure but perhaps it's different for terminal servers?
ReplyDeleteI checked it against two physical servers and they both show the same values. Perhaps your RDP session is not set to use something less than 16-bit color?
ReplyDeleteOops, I meant that your RDP session is set to something less than 16-bit color.
